Chemicals In The Built Environment

Much is known about where chemicals of concern lurk, and consequently there are many opportunities for improvement right now. To help, Lisa Carey Moore and Matt Root from Integrated Eco Strategy will discuss practical ways to incorporate healthier materials into your projects. Using the Green Science Policy Institute’s Six Classes approach, they will first review where chemicals of concern are found in building products. Next, they will provide proven strategies for selecting and managing the implementation of healthier building products. Participants will leave understanding what “healthier materials” means, what they need to know to specify healthier materials and which specific materials they should use.
