FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Materially Better Announces Data Partnership with mindful MATERIALS Improving Access to Healthier Building Materials Insights
Material management experts make it easier than ever to search for healthier building products by impact
North Adams, MA – April 10, 2025 – Expanding upon previously established data-sharing collaborations with the Health Product Declaration Collaborative, Living Future’s Declare program, and Carbon Leadership Forum’s EC3 reporting, Materially Better has partnered with mindful MATERIALS (mM) to bring the Common Materials Framework (CMF) language to its Red2Green healthier materials library and project management platform.
Integrating this certification-agnostic language into Red2Green allows any certification or standard to demonstrate its alignment with various sustainability objectives, empowering project teams to avoid the trappings of tunnel vision in product selection by uniting disparate initiatives, communities, standards, and data flow within a shared language.
Annie Bevan, CEO at mindful MATERIALS, expresses the partnership in this way: “At mindful MATERIALS, we believe that collaboration and alignment are key to accelerating sustainable progress in the built environment. By integrating the Common Materials Framework (CMF) into their platform, Materially Better is taking an important step toward making material sustainability data more accessible and actionable. While full implementation of the CMF is still evolving, their commitment to this process reinforces the collective effort needed to drive meaningful change. We’re excited to recognize Materially Better as a technology partner and look forward to continued collaboration to advance industry alignment and impact.”
Materially Better Founder, Charley Stevenson agrees, observing “No one accomplishes sustainability objectives in a bubble. By introducing the shared language of the CMF for building product data assessment, Red2Green’s already robust dataset takes another leap forward. AEC professionals become healthy materials experts through the language that enables consistent, well-informed materials decisions across the most impactful product types. This empowers them to turn the words of the AIA Materials Pledge into healthier, forward-thinking actions.”
